hello there! so i know i've been slacking on YT videos but i thought i'd share a NOTW (nails of the week) to make up for it.

this shade of grey would probably be one that is similar to metro chic but not a dupe because i feel like this shade is a lot more wearable and lighter than metro chic. i really like this shade and these pictures were taken after 2-3 days of painting so i'm very impressed with the staying power. i have been using a new top coat which i will speak about in my upcoming june hits & misses video whenever i have the time to film that is!

Essie Van D'go

i really liked this color! i feel like it's great for the summer time. it's a light pink/coral color.

i started collecting more Essie colors just recently before my recent haul of Essie polishes i only owned 2-3 colors and i will say i am beginning to love that brand of polish but for me personally i still like China Glaze as my top brand but Essie is one of my top brands as well and i would definately recommend Essie polishes.

i'm gonna try to get back into the habit of doing these NOTW so you can get more swatches of different polishes that i own! (:

How-to Color your Hair at Home (w/ video)

Step 1:
make sure you have all the supplies you need including the color of your choice + the right amount of developer for your color.

i have hair that is an 1-2 inch(es) past my shoulder & i got 2 bottles but i think i would've done fine w/ 1 bottle as i ended up w/ a lot of leftover. in my opinion you would only need 2 if your hair is down to your boob or somewhere in that area.

the side of the bottle will tell you how much developer to color you will need to the color you have.

Step 2:
next you will add the color & the developer together into a hair coloring bottle i would suggest putting the developer in first as it is a cream consistency so it will sit as the color will just fall right into the creme.

Step 3:
once all is in the bottle you will need to shake to mix well.

Step 4:
once all the color is in your hair bun it all together put a processing cap on.

Step 5:
wait 25 minutes!

Step 6:
wash color out followed by shampooing and conditioning. you can use a special conditioner for color treating hair or your regular one.

Step 7: done!
allow to dry with a blow dryer or air drying.

once again i have neglected to update this blog of mine. i apologize for that as i was caught up with school and life but if you've been visiting my youtube you would know that i've actually been up-to-date on videos and have managed to get at least 1 video up every week. (:

last saturday my sister and i were suppose to buy manny pacquiao shirts to get into our filipino spirit of representing him but when we got to champs all the size small shirts were gone! instead of being super sad about it we just took it as a sign that "it wasn't meant to be" and ended up doing a bit of shopping at forever 21 which i was kinda looking forward to doing anyway since it's beginning to transition from spring into summer. if you want to see all that i have hauled from there as well as my ELF studio stuff.. watch the video below.

OVERALL: i am very statistfied with this product. the first time i ever use this was a couple months ago and i thought it didn't work because i was kind of being too gentle.. thinking i would cut myself using it but i noticed that the first time i tried it i was only going in one direction so it didn't work. you kind of have to think sand paper and go back and forth with it to work while applying pressure to the areas that are more dry. sure enough this time it worked and pretty well i must say! my feet aren't horrible.. i don't callus or anything like that. they just get really dry out here in this desert and with winter around the corner they will get even more dry. this thing works just make sure you don't go ped egg happy and go to deep because your skin will bleed once there is no more dead/dry skin left to remove.

WOULD I BUY AGAIN OR RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT?

Back To School + NOTW

as you all know it's that time of the year again -- back to school! so i've been a bit caught up w/ my new classes & whatnot which resulted in no time to update this blog of mine but i'm getting the hang of things so things should be back to normal now.*(:

so here are my new best friends for the next 16 weeks!

the grand total was $260 which i actually don't think is too bad for 4 books.
( the purple binder is my math book -- it was one of those 3-hole loose leaf books so it's in that binder )

i am taking 2 classes in person & 3 online -- one of which starts later in the semester & is only 5 weeks outta the 16 weeks of the semester.

after this semester i am left w/ only 4 semesters til graduation which i am SO ready for & really excited about!

i haven't even had the time to do my nailss lately until this past week so i apologize for not putting a NOTW up but i will leave you w/ one now..

Nails: LA Colors Review

NOTW: LA Colors in Yellow

i liked this shade of yellow which is showing up a lot lighter in these pictures then they seem in person. it was not such a bright in your face kind of yellow. i thought it's a true yellow color.

BUT.. i was completely disappointed w/ the LA colors formula.. as it needed a couple of coats to get that end result. it was also a bit streaky for my liking &seem to be chipping after only 2 days of wear. after 4 days the polish was completely peeling away so i just removed it at that point.

then again it could have be an old bottle as the sticker on the back was fading away and i can't really compare it to another b/c i only purchased this color. /=

OVERALL: i would not buy this brand of polish ever again & would not recommend it to anyone. i'm sticking to my regulars. (China Glaze &OPI) when it was wet it seem to have gotten worst like it couldn't even stand up to water. everytime i washed my hand or the dishes it chipped or got moist which would mess up its smoothness. i never had this problem w/ my regular polish but then again it could have been an old bottle!?

has anyone else experience this w/ LA colors?

if you are interested in trying this brand of polish for yourself i found them at forever21 for $2.80 a bottle.

How to Make Beef Sinigang (Filipino Dish)

so i decided to make a post on how i make my sinigang which is a sour filipino soup.

some of you may have seen me posting pictures while making this so i decided to give out the recipe for those of you who were curious as how i made it! (=

you will need..

- meat (i used beef chuck but you can also use chuck roast, beef sirloin, beef brisket, or beef ribs)
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 large roma tomatoes, chopped
- 8-10 coffee cups of water -- this will be your soup (2 in the beginning &the rest for the end or to your preference)
- 6 tablespoons of fish sauce (2 in the beginning &the rest for the end or to your preference)
- 1-2 packet(s) knorr flavoring mix (i like the na may sili b/c i want my SOUR but you can also use the gabi one too)
- string beans (i like to use the long chinese ones &cut it up to bite size pieces)
- okra, tops &buttoms cut off (15 pieces or however many you would like to put)
- 1 daikon radish, sliced
- spinach
- 2 jalapenos

i used beef chuck &because it is a thick meat you wanna start by tenderizing the meat. normally you would use a pressure cooker for this but since i don't own one i use 2 large metal spoons to do this. add 2 coffee cups of water, spoons, chopped tomatoes &onions &2 tablespoons of fish sauce to a large pot &boil for about 40 minutes-1 hour. check on the meat ever 15 mins or so to see if it has tenderized already meaning that it is soft enough to bite into, once it is soft enough you can go on to the cook the soup.

if you have a pressure cooker it should be a lot faster to tenderize the meat.

while you wait for the meat to tenderize you can go ahead and cut up all your vegetables.

once the meat is tenderized -- you can remove the spoons, add up to 8 more coffee cups of water depending on how much soup you would like. then go ahead and add the 4 remaining tablespoons of fish sauce with your 1 or 2 packet(s) knorr flavoring mix depending on your preference. then add your vegetables string beans, okra, sliced daikon radish, and 2 jalapenos. let it boil for 30 mins &add your spinach at the very end for 5-10 minutes until it has wilted.

REVIEW Segment: Not Too Pleased With..

so i think i'm gonna start doing this as a segment/series once i've accumulated a couple of products that i did or did not like &share my thoughts w/ you here on my blog. (=

1. Maybelline XXL Extensions Mascara in Very Black

i thought this mascara was really going to extent my eyelashes but sadly.. it did not &the primer side didn't seem to make a difference either.. it was most likely b/c i have been so use to using covergirl LashBlast that switching over to this mascara once my 3 month time period was over was such a disappointment for me b/c it doesn't not come close to the results that lashblast gives me! /=

2. Covergirl LashBlast Luxe in Black Platinum

this may sound &look weird but i wasn't too pleased w/ the luxe version of lashblast for one reason only.. other than this reason it works just as good as the regular &a lot better than the mascara above so i am currently going to use up this mascara for the next 3 months until it's time to change again BUT the thing is.. it is very hard to remove &i use mandom makeup remover &like a lot of you all know it's one of the BEST removers out there but i guess b/c of the shimmer that is in the luxe's formula i have to put some extra effort to remove it which is kinda of annoying AND i didn't really notice the shimmer to it!?

personally i think sticking to the regular lashblast would be my best advice as this was a waste &there was no big WOO to it. why mess w/ sucess.. right!?

3. Naris Up Cosmetics Japanese Egg Shell and Collagen Facial Mask

so i know a lot of the beauty bloggers out there liked this stuff but it didn't seem to do anything for my face &i'm not really a mask person so i guess my face just wasn't responding to it! /=

so this was the nail color i was rockin' all week!!
a pretty light pink.. which is very opacque. it isn't sheer at all 2 coats will pretty much give you its true color. these pictures really isn't giving it's true color. this color reminds me of barbie pink and not pink like the box which is a bright hot pink but pink like her heels! (=

MAC Style Warriors Haul / Review

I didn't pick up too much from the collection just what i knew i HAD to have &know i would actually be using. although i LOVE LOVE animal print i wasn't sucked in that much to the packaging for this collection.

so Brave New Bronze is such a pretty nude lippie. this with the lipglass i got is the prettiest combo so i got them! i also liked one other lipstick from the collection which was Purple Rite. Sunsational seem too light while Tribalist is too dark for my liking.

a lot of the colors looked like you can find something similar to. they were all neutral colors that didn't really catch my eye. the only one that really did was Vibrant Grape but it's permanent in the mac pro line so i can get that color at anytime.

i thought Solar Riche was too orangey for me but i did like Refined Golden so might go back for it.. it's also a permanent so there's no hurry on it unless i want the packaging which is cute since it has the zebra design. (=

Nail Lacquer

these colors didn't seem to phase me &look like they could be easily dupes as well. personally i'm not a big fan of MAC nail polishes.. i find the formula to be very streaky &sheer. i only own one MAC nail polish & plan on keeping it that way. /=

Lustre Drops / Solar Bits / Skinsheen Leg Spray

are all just not my style so i decided to pass on all of those.

(=

Overall: i might return for the other 2 lippies + BP blush &since the bronzing powder &eyeshadow i liked are permanent there really isn't any rush for me to pick those up. i am happy w/ what i got already so if i don't make that return it's all good w/ me! (=

My Pretty Pink Box

the first time i saw one of these was from vanessa of nessasarymakeup.com &i was like hey that's cool.. a box full of samples for around $15! the price varies from month to month.. box to box.. depending on what's being offered that month. i've seen them go anywhere from $10 to $15 bucks.

these boxes release at the beginning of every month &sell like hot cakes.. literally! they are available @ 7AM the day they are released &are sold out within the hour.. for months i've tried to get my hands on one &FAILED each time.. either i would forgot, didn't wake up, or woke up too late. anyway i FINALLY set my alarm for 6:45AM got up sat @ the computer.. waited for that BUY NOW button to show up &got one! ..of course i went back to sleep afterwards! (=

so here are the goodies inside my box!

overall: i'm happy w/ what i ended up getting in my box.. i was hoping for some NYX &eyeko items but i've never tried any of the items i got except for BigSexyHair (which is an HG item for me) so we'll have to see how i like these.. there was an eye cream in my box &i need to start using an eye cream so getting that was pretty cool.. i think this is great for any of you who are curious about trying out new items.

MAC Double Dazzle Haul & Swatches

as some of you may have already know.. the double dazzle collection was released early.. from what i know mac stores + nordstroms released on april 9th &when i called macy's they released on april 10th (the next day) &they've been available online @maccosmetics.com as of april 14th.

so of course i went as soon as i found out to check them all out! i was also uber happy to find out &confirm w/ the MA that all the dazzleglasses are now part of MAC's permanent line except for 3 of them -- Goldyrocks, Utterly Posh, &Stop! Look! which are limited editions to this collection release. so no need to hurry on any of the other colors. 7 new colors were released along w/ repromoted colors from previous dazzleglass collections.

REVIEW: LUSH Products

so that is a picture of my bath using LUSH's bubble bar! (=

-- SOAPS --

Honey I Washed The Kids Soap
(Sweet honey heaven cleanses and moisturizes sensitive skin)

this one probably has to be my favorite soap that Lush has to offer. It smells SO good! (= it's not an over-powering honey scent either but just the right amount of honey goodness! the comb (top) part of the soap doesn't really melt when wet so i kinda just use it to exfoliate my skin as it's bit hard which is good for that. the other side glides nicely when bathing &leaves my skin feeling fresh+ clean &smelling SO yummy! (=

Porridge Soap

(Real oats make for a sweet, scrubby soap that's just right)

my piece of porridge didn't look anything like the picture above but more of a rice crispy piece but oats!?! (see picture below) if it had looked like that piece above than maybe i would have enjoyed it a lot more. it can be a bit messy w/ the oats &it gives off some color so you'll notice the water being colored as it goes down the drain. it is a great soap for exfoliating your skin b/c it scrubs your skin but it's not too rough. it lathers up pretty well but with each use it seem as if it was loosing most of the soap.. leaving me w/ just oats. i really wish there were more soap than oats like the picture on the website (above) it has a light lingering scent to your skin afterwards which i LOVE which smells like a bit of fresh orange juice mixed w/ molasses &leaves my skin super soft!

Ma Bar Bubble Bar
(Milk chocolate and toffee bubbles in the bath indulge your sweet tooth)

i am now in LOVE w/ their bubble bars. for this one i cut it in half so i could get 2 uses out of it but even half makes lot &lots of bubbles! i used the white side already (toffee side) &these bars make a tub full of SCENTED bubbles! (see picture at the very top) the bubbles that these bars create stick around as well whereas to liquid bubble bath where it would eventually disappear into the water leaving you with just water.. the smell is so relaxing as well! (= i almost fell asleep in my bath! /=

-- SKINCARE --

Angels On Bare Skin Cleanser
(Delicately cleanses and exfoliates for softer skin)

this cleanser is good for any skin type. i have normal/dry if you're wondering. there are grounded almonds for the purpose of gently exfoliating which gives off the smells of roses &lavender oil. i only got a sample of this which is fine b/c all you need is a pea-sized amount mixed with water in the palm of your hand to create an even paste &then cleanse like usual. for me i thought it kinda smelled weird at first but it's not too bad &i felt it did leave my skin feeling really soft like a baby's butt! (=

OVERALL: i am VERY happy with all the items i have purchased here from LUSH &would recommend them all as well as REPURCHASE any of them again! (= for the porridge though i have to make sure next time i get a piece w/ more soap &less oats. i do get kinda paranoid w/ the soaps b/c it smells SO sweet &good that i would get attacked by some bugs.. LOL! at least i don't live where there are mosquitoes. /=

Haulage of New Things!

Forever 21the cute plaid top tunic/dress (it's long in length) was a fabulous find item for only $14.50 which i thought was a good deal b/c i've seen plaid going for $24-25 at other places. that top will be part of my easter outfit for this sunday. i plan on wearing it w/ some black leggings + heels! (=

the earrings are plain white hoops w/ a small gold chain wrapped around it. it's also from forever21 for $5.80 i never mentioned it BUT i am a sucker for accessories.. earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, sunglasses.. you name it i have plenty! i use to spend so much money on JUST accessories but makeup has taken that place.. once in a while i'll go back.. LOL!

so i went to CCO a couple weeks back b/c i was hoping to find some of the holiday collections there but they didn't have any of the things that i wanted from those collections there. so i got lippies instead.. i've been working on expanding that area of my collection right now anyway! (=

i got nymphette lipglass which is part of the permanent line so i was happy to find it there for cheaper. i got sockhop lipglass (from heatherette collection) to pair w/ lollipop loving l/s that i got with the sugarsweet collection &i wanted to be able to pair those 2 together &i also got take a hint tendertone b/c it just the prettiest pink &i LOVE pink!

MAC (Back 2 MAC)i went to MAC to 'Back 2 Mac' for vanilla eyeshadow which B2M has to be a pot shadow so i'm gonna have to depot it b/c i decided to start storing my eyeshadows in palettes &only buy pan shadows from now on.. so of course i bought my first MAC pro palette + my first pan shadow in knight divine.

MAC Grand Duos / Sugarsweet Collections Haul + Review

i really loved these collections! for Sugarsweet i felt the colors went well together &both were great to help bring on the feel for spring. if you saw my wishlist on the Sugarsweet collection you probably noticed i cut out a lot of the things i was planning on getting not that i didn't want it anymore.. it really was my wallet still recovering from the MAC hello kitty collection &i didn't have enough time to re-save my money for these 2 collections. /=

Grand Duos: Mineralize Blush
Love Rock

(gold violet mélange / bright blue pink)

i originally wasn't planning on getting any of the Grand Duos mineralize blushes b/c from the promo pix they didn't seem to phase me so i was suppose to pass &then when i went to MAC for the Sugarsweet collection.. i decided to check them out &i fell in love w/ Love Rock + Intenso from this collection.

i only bought Love Rock which gives off a pretty pink color.. i will eventually have to go back for Intenso &must i tell ya.. all of the blushes in this collection are VERY pigmented so i think they are well worth it to buy + you get 3 different looks in one. you can wear either or side by itself as well as mixing both sides together!

Sugarsweet: Mineralize Skinfinish

i felt that the MSFs in this collection were both really pretty &did not have that chunky glitter going on like most of the other MSFs that i've seen. originally i was planning to buy both MSFs but when i check them out in person i felt Perfect Topping looked very pretty for highlighting your face but since i don't really highlight too often i passed. i did get Refined b/c it was just right for my skin tone which would be great for bronzing as well as all over face for a beautiful healthy glow &i didn't own a bronzer previously to this one so i definitely had to get this one. (=

lately i have been obsessed w/ lippies! (= so i definetly could not pass on the lippies from this collection.. i picked up 2! Saint Germain b/c it is a LE lippie that is usually not available in the U.S. but in Europe + Lollipop Loving b/c i didn't pick it up the first time around w/ the heatherette collection &i couldn't find it at any of the CCOs where i live.

as for the other lippies in the collection.. i am still indifferent about Bubbles (shimmery warm white -Glaze).. i might go back for it, i might not. /= i thought Sweet Thing (mid-tone magenta with multi-dimensional pearl -Lustre) was WAY too bright for me &Touch (Peachy Cinnamon -Lustre) is part of permanent line.

so i passed on..
Eye Shadows
Aquavert probably would be the only one i missed out on b/c Dear Cupcake in person was sorta chalky so i definitely did want it. Sugarshot looked like any ol' regular highlight. Stars N' Rockets + Club are both in the permanent line so i can get those 2 whenever. (=

Shadesticks
i'm not really a shadestick kinda gal.. i like using paint pots for base or my NYX jumbo pencils BUT if you've noticed the packaging has change &so has the formula! as some of you may have known the old shadesticks were very hard to apply but these are much more creamier &the colors are very pretty. the can REALLY make the complementing shadows from this collection pop so you might wanna check those out!

Nail Lacquer
i had Seasonal Peach on my wishlist but i cut it out b/c i didn't feel like it was a unique color but i regret not getting Peppermint Patti now that it's SOLD OUT &no where to be found.. so if someone can track it down.. pretty PLEASE let me know! )'=

OVERALL: i REALLY loved the colors in this collection b/c they all complimented each other very well. i really wish i was able to buy more from this collection but i am happy w/ the items i did end up getting.. i am really sad that i didn't pick up peppermint patti nail lacquer. so ATTENTION if anyone has it &doesn't want it or is still able to get a hold of it PLEASE let me know b/c i'll pay you for it!! (=

so i finally got the chance to try this out which i should have done sooner b/c i must say it is quite difficult to curl short hair especially for the very first time since i got my haircut. there's gonna be some getting use to before i can really enjoy using this product as i even burnt my forehead in the process of curling my hair! /=

- very light scent which smells GREAT!! (=
- it's a lotion so it's not sticky like hairspray
- holds the curl
- not greasy

CONS:
- a bit pricey &you don't really get too much product for the price

OVERALL:
it was quite difficult for me since curling short hair isn't that easy but i like this product b/c normally i don't use anything for my hair when i curl it b/c i don't like the sticky-ness that comes along w/ hairspray. so with this product it holds the curl w/o the sticky-ness which is what i like about this product.

WOULD I BUY AGAIN? yes! i would! (=

LUSH Haul + Hello Kitty Goodies

for those who have never heard of LUSH..

&since i've been seeing LUSH just about everywhere lately.. i decided to check it out for myself to see what might just interest me.. keeping in mind what others has said they like/dislike about their products. i end up only getting a couple of things to give it a try first &see if this stuff is to my liking! (=

Sweet honey heaven cleanses and moisturizes sensitive skin

Real oats make for a sweet, scrubby soap that's just right
i just LOVE the smell of this one.. makes you want a bite! /=

&i also got one bubble bar which you crumble under running water &it's suppose to create lots &lots of scented bubbles! i can't wait to try this one out! (=

i saw M & tia w/ this one so we'll have to see how it works for me.

for my first time overall experience.. i find that i like more of the sweet/fruity smelling stuff that lush has to offer not so much on the herbal/tree smelling things that they also have. a lot of the smells over power the entire store so it is a bit nauseating especially b/c a lot of the smells combine together which makes it even worse. it's hard to smell the sweet/fruity smells walking in there.. you have to bring it close to your nose to smell it.

for any first timers who are thinking about giving lush a try i would suggest going to an actual store or counter b/c there were certain things i thought would smell great &end up not liking at all in person. it can be overwhelming as well so i would also suggest going to the website first to check everything out as everything is categorized on there.. take note of what might interest you &then check it out in person! (=

My MAC Hello Kitty Haul + Review

so this palette is one that i think is good for everyday looks. Too Dolly is also a good palette w/ beautiful + bold colors but would be more of the special occasions, night out, etc. &if you been to the website the hello kitty collection was split up into Mild & Wild. i will be doing a look on this palette on my youtube channel &i will be posting the video on here as well so look out for that! (=

the beauty powders are sheer which is expected. in this collection they looked very similar to one another so it didn't really matter which one you would get.. i guess it really depends on your preference &what you intend on using it for. this was my very first MAC beauty powder &i really like it! good to use for bringing a bit of highlight color on your cheeks, forehead, &chin areas. beauty powders can also be used as a setting powder but i would suggest Tahitian Sand (soft coaral peach) if used for that purpose.

lately i've been love love lovin' peach blushes on my cheeks &i think it looks very good on lighter skin tones (i'm an NC30 shade) like mine. if you saw my FOTD in the previous post i was using spaced out (shimmer peach) blush from MAC's neo sci-fi collection. so Fun & Games was definitely my blush of choice from this collection.. tippy (mid-tome blue pink) is a very pretty well pigmented PINK that can be used for everyday as well but needs to be brought down but nonetheless i think it's such a good pink &if ever i want to use it.. it's not too far away.. thanks to my sis! (=

first of all Pink Fish = LOVE! i plan on picking up a back up.. it's so pretty on the lips for everyday looks. as for lipsticks i went w/ the 2 that most stood out to me that i felt you don't see too many colors close to which for me was Fashion Mews &Strayin' they were both very unique &different. Fashion Mews is not for everyone though so if you are thinking about picking it up check &see how well it would goes w/ your skin tone first before buying it. As for Strayin' it's such a pretty bright PINK that i fell in love w/ when i first saw it on the model in the promotional ads so i had to get it. (=

as for the lipglasses.. i initially didn't get any of them b/c when i saw the picture swatches.. a lot of them were very sheer but i did end up going back for Sweet Strawberry (light creamy pink with pink and gold pearl) b/c it was the only one that i felt showed up which i will post about in another entry. (=

OVERALL: i am very please w/ the entire collection &the items that i ended up w/. (= i am going back to get a back up of pink fish b/c i LOVE it that much &i am STILL trying to decide on fast friends (sheer bright intense purple with pearl) lipglass. /=

so i didn't wanna order from ohayousa.com b/c the shipping was about half of the price of the item i was buying!?! so i looked around for cheaper shipping prices &found webichi.com. the shipping from that website was about $5-6 which is normal for shipping prices.

okay so for those of you who are not familiar w/ elf it stands for eyeslipsface.com &it's a cosmetic company w/ some decent items for only one dollar! i've ordered some of they're items previously to this order &i find that some were bad &others were okay. &of course, they're not as great as brands like mac, nars, etc. anyway some time last year they released a studio line which is suppose to be their professional make up items for 3 dollars vs. 1 dollar an item!

Back to School + Everyday Neutral Look

back to school = back to the real world for me!
the winter break from school was lovely but of course all good things must come to end.. which ended too quickly if you ask me!?! )= so spring semester started on monday for me which has been good so far! i have a one day a week class tomorrow so we'll see how that one goes..

Review: China Glaze = LOVE!

so i have been a fan of OPI for some time now &i kinda devoted my self to it b/c when i use to go to a salon to get acrylics done that's what my nail lady had in her shop. BUT after seeing + hearing other people say china glaze was just as good if not better than OPI i had to try it out for myself!

so like in my previous post i made my way to sally beauty supply to pick some up &went back for the top coat b/c i heard it was good too + my ORLY top coat was getting really sticky.

so here's my guinea pig..

CHINA GLAZE evening seduction

OMGosh.. one coat is all you need! these polishes are so pigmented there is no need for a second coat of polish!

first..

as always i use ORLY bonder rubberized basecoat

followed by the color of choice in this case
CHINA GLAZE evening seduction

then..
CHINA GLAZE fast forward top coat

the topcoat REALLY did dry FAST!

..&WA LA pretty nails!
excuse the clean up that i missed.. mine you that's my left hand &i'm right handed

OVERALL:
5 out 5 stars!!
i am now a CHINA GLAZE FANAITIC

Reflecting on 2008 + My NYE Look

for me 2008 was a year to learn a lot from it really wasn't one of my best years &it also wasn't bad but through all the UPs and DOWNs of 2008, i still would like to reflect on the good things that has happened for me this past year!

January
• i went to the motherland after 7 years &honestly i feel the older you are the more of an appreciation you will have for background &for the things you have b/c a lot of them aren't as fortunate &you get a better understanding of what our parents went through to give us the lives we have today.
April
• my son had his first real hair cut -- he went bald!
(he had a trim after turning one in 2007)
May
• i celebrated my second mother's day -- i love my son! (=
June
• my son sorta learned how to swim (he still wears floaties of course) but he can go to the deep end by himself &i still can't! /=
• my best friend, my love, &the father of my son &i celebrated 4 years of being together &i can truly say we have been through a lot in that time!
July
• we had our first family trip to san diego zoo + sea world (i took him to disneyland previously but it was just me + the in-laws that time -- the hubby had to work)
August
• i started getting into the makeup scene + my crazy collection of makeup began! (=
• my son started early education (pre-school) which is for him to socialize since he doesn't really have cousins his age but that will change w/ the coming year.
September
• my hubby went back to school
• my son turned 2 years old
October
• my maternal grandfather (only living grandparent today) came back from the Philippines (he's retired)
December
• i had the best semester in college this past fall 2008 (=
• i turned 23 &i am healthy, strong, &beautiful
• my parents celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary &are still happily married &the best grandparents ever i might add! (= next year will be their silver year!

..&i thank God for those blessings everyday!

there are many things in store for 2009 some we may know of &some will come in surprise but whatever they may be we can only hope that God continues to bless us w/ all the beautiful things in life!

Let it SnOw!!

it snowed WAY more today than it did on my birthday &it piled up beautifully! (=

REWIND:

last sunday my son, his cousin (aka my goddaughter), &my 2 youngest cousins made gingerbread houses at my parents' house. my son had so much fun eating the candy that he had my cousin &i finish sticking all the candy on his gingerbread house. it got really messy once my mom thought sprinkles would make a lovely addition to the candy houses. /=

monday was my 23rd birthday &it was snowing! snow in vegas is not likely &when it does it happen it's brief, only lasts for about a day, and if it piles up it would piles up to about an inch and disappears the next day.

so it snowed for most of the day &it didn't pile to an inch which i was kinda hoping for &of course the next day was completely gone! but it made the roofs of the houses have a beautiful snowy top to them by night time the snow began to melt! )= but it was beautiful to have landed on the day of my birthday! (=

some of my friends + family joined me for a dinner at red robin but we forgot to take pictures! )= i did take pictures of the look i was wearing and even did a tutorial for it on my youtube.

overall, it was a good birthday and i wanna thanks those of you who greeted me a happy birthday! i really appreciate it!! (=

as for the eyeshadow duos.. i'm going to pass on them. for the price it's a very good deal but it's just the pans so i would have nothing to depot them into. \=

so was everyone's week &thanksgiving?

my week was pretty hectic w/ all the moving, i had one day of school, &we took our xmas family photo.. which will be used for our xmas greeting card &i thought they turned out really nice! i will post them up for all of you to see once i get a hold of them!

thanksgiving went well w/ the 3 meals i went to.. turkey makes you super sleepy but it is oh so yummy!

we're pretty much all moved in &just about settled.. gotta put my picture frames / paintings up on these walls soon b/c they are so white &boring! /=

i should have some new videos up sometime next week &you know i had pick a couple of new things during the great finds of black friday so watch out for some new haulage!

Moving Across Town..

so i'm moving from northwest las vegas to southwest las vegas!
not a huge move but i hate moving..
